The restrooms! We rented city stadiums with old plumbing, there were drips from the ceiling
At least not pits. I worked 2 miles from the site and had a key so drove over there for my business as even the mens was a steamy mess.
The assembly hall, being a mirror image plan still lacks enough women facilities. The hand dryers are ear damage loud.

the twickenham post made me think of this.

i have a few jw family members on facebook and being summertime, their pics of the convention have shown up in my fb feed.

along with their comments about "i wished it would never end" or "what a glorious weekend".

Memories are working, camaraderie with some brothers. I actually enjoyed attendant IF could help someone, not just count empty seats.
The only talks I remenber was old Freddy opining about time travel, and a couple times someone went off script and imitated a tent revivalits ( everyone loved it without realizing it was babylonish) ( same way nobody noticed Lett being nuts)
I fondly remember the year I skipped and took a road trip!

not only is watchtower eschatology offbase, which is not critical, but so is watchtower soteriology … which is critical.

Only one weekly meeting?

new wt october 2023....first an article remembering 1923....they make changes, the had a "prayer, praise and testimony weekly meeting".. after an study article about obey, specially paragraph 18.. i have a wild guess, next year, just one weekly meeting for the borg..

The 15 minute break was to go to the candy store next door. If course that was when we had a hodge podge of self built and repurposeded halls, nowthey are remote from added attractions.
To keep people in they need reasonable attire standards and a few social events. And no droning meetings; WT could be 15 minutes, Sunday sermon 15 minutes. Announcements could be put on JW Publisher where they belong to start with. I think tge "safety" meeting for toilet scrubbing takes 15 minutes, and wear a reflective vest and hard hat.

Oh yes. A kind loving clean organization with severe sanctions on any leader who abuses hus power. Add training and vetting and humanity. I wish someone could have a disclosed settlement.

Plagiarized from themselves to boot. It took me 5 mjnutes to " write" all the talks looking at the program. Of course they bloviate. Change the unnamed african country to nazi Germany or soviet or eastern Europe, same (massaged) story.
